Chapter 7 – Hand over the Coco Pops!

Author's note: Sorry if there isn't romance in this chapter but I thought our favourite webhead could have a talk with Wolverine for a bit. I like the older brother, younger brother relationship between the two and I thought I could use it here. So enjoy!

Spider-Man woke up the next morning in his room with the sun rays creeping out of the middle of the curtains. Groaning at the fact that he couldn't sleep in due to Machina Code, he reluctantly slumped out of bed and got ready for the day.

Once he had his costume on and washed himself, he walked down the hall to get some breakfast. Letting out a yawn upon entering he scanned through the cupboards to find something to eat. Coco Pops? Must be a European cereal....might as well give it a try. He took the box out of the cupboard and turned to...

"Aaa--" He had to cover his mouth to prevent himself from waking anyone up. Moon Knight was hanging above the floor upside down with his arms crossed holding his cape up staring at the web-head. "Moon Knight what are you doing?"

"I'm your worst nightmare! I am Moon Knight, server of Konshuu." His Kevin Conroy impression, while good, pretty much gave away what he was doing.

"MK if you're finished imitating fictional characters can you please get off the ceiling?" Moon Knight spread his cape as he landed on his feet and pointed a moon themed spoon at the web-head's nose.

"Hand over the Coco Pops!"

Rather than let Spidey answer he snatched the box from him and flipped over table getting a bowl and poured some of the cereal into it.

"So webs sleep well?" He seemed like he was normal now but you could never know for sure. Spidey just got a bowl from the cupboard and walked over to Moon Knight who was now pouring milk on his cereal. "Yeah, guess I was tired from staying up late last night."

"Well at least Ms. Marvel isn't being as stuck up as she used to be."

"Yeah I guess—wait how did you know I was talking to Ms. Marvel last night?"

"Seeing as how you are the one responsible for her being more cheerful as of recent, it stands to reason why you would have tried to spend more time with her." Moon Knight then slid the milk and cereal over the red and blue hero as he went and got a spoon.

Spider-Man then prepared his breakfast whilst replying "What are you implying?"

"Seeing as how you're the one who she's developing feelings for it would be common for you to hardly notice this."

"Since when did you become an expert on relationships?"

"It happens in most modern films so it's to be expected in reality."

Moon Knight sat down with his moon spoon as he and Spidey lifted their masks so only their mounts were showing.

"Ya know you're starting to sound like Deadpool."

"Oh please, nobody knows what Deadpool says. You all understand me."

They started to eat their breakfast in silence with the wall crawler thinking about what his friend just said. Wolverine soon came slumping into the room like a zombie, which was pretty accurate seeing as how he was making incoherent moans.

"Morning Wolvie! Dreaming about bunnies are we?" Sadly the wallcrawlers light-hearted comment wasn't taken lightly as the X-Man turned with an evil glare that caused thunder to roll. "Uhhh.....Coco Pops?"

Raising his hand, Wolverine took the cereal a bit more harshly than he meant to and made his way around the kitchen getting his breakfast. After a while, he spoke up "Hey uh webs? Do you know where Deadpool has gone to?"

Yeah, with Deadpool 'borrowing' Logan's bike that would put the mutant in an unhappy state, but then again when was Wolverine EVER in a good mood?

"I'm afraid not, he just said he was recording some scenes for something then rode off to who knows where."

The X-Man then sat down with some cereal "Well at least he won't be bothering us for now." True but you never know when Deadpool could return, he always had something planned for the day. But since he was gone they might as well enjoy the moment.

"Oh and hate to disappoint you webs but if you're planning to hang out with Ms. Marvel today don't bother."

This caused Spider-Man to lower his spoon and turn to the mutant in confusion "Why not?"

Moon Knight suddenly sprung from his chair and pointed at the web slinger with another personality kicking in "AHA! You said that as if you were a couple! That proves you have feelings for her!"

Spidey's expression turned to shock and embarrassed, it also didn't help that his mouth was showing "What? N-No I don't!"

"HA! You totally do!"

"Moon Knight...is that really necessary?" After hearing Wolverine's grumpy morning voice Moon Knight recollected himself and sat back down, mumbling an apology towards the arachnid "Sorry."

Wolverine then returned his attention to Spider-Man "Ignore him webs, just thought that I let you know that she's helping Nick Fury in a black ops mission, so me and the rest of the squad are going to get the next Machina Code once it pops up."

Parker's expression changed which could only be seen by his mouth showing he was asking a question that he was not looking forward to ask. "Wait, does...does the squad know about me and M&M?"

"Let's just say a little bird told us."

"Redwing told Falcon and then he told the rest of you didn't he?"

"Smart boy. Don't worry I made everyone he told promise not to say a word about it. For your sake at least."

"Thanks Logan. Who exactly in the squad knows?"

"Well of course, myself and Falcon know, Thor, Hulk and Scarlet Witch also know about it. The only one who doesn't know is Tony."

Moon Knight and Spider-Man became interested as MK asked "How come Iron Man doesn't know, don't leaders have the right to know what's going on?"

"Well...while you guys were away on Operation: Comet we had our fair share of adventures as you're aware off" Wolverine said refereeing to the night they came back and told them about the operation (though leaving out any personal details). He continued "and over the course of the months after we lost the Surfer and Captain Mar-vell while gaining Scarlet Witch, Tony started to open up to Ms. Marvel a bit more."

This caused Spider-Man to come to an uneasy realization "You mean...Tony might be into her as well?"

Wolverine merely shrugged "Can't say for sure, though I would suggest you be a little careful around Stark just in case."

Moon Knight finished the last of his cereal before saying "I'm sure it'll be fine, after all webs you've got us if you ever need help."

"Yeah...asking you two for help on women....I think I'll pass." A grin was hidden under Spidey's mask.

"Very funny....I need more Coco Pops." Suddenly Moon Knight shook his head "NO! They aren't Cocoa Puffs I can't go crazy for them!"

His personality disorder was at it again as his head shook again "No. No, no, no, no, no, no!"

Wolverine edged towards the box while creeping towards the cupboard "I think you've had enough cereal for the morning, why don't you go watch some TV?"

But the box was snatched out of his hand as Moon Knight flipped towards the door "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Without it I cannot be strong! To the Moon Cave!" He then sprinted out the door performing somersaults as he went out of sight.

Spidey then turned to Wolverine "He gets an A for effort, energy and reflexes that's for sure."
