The Super Hero Squad Show – Moving On (Ms. Marvel and Spider-Man)

Author's note: I'm quite worried that I may not be giving enough character development for each character, though I'll admit the SHS show did give plenty of development for each character but if any of you reading would like to point out what characters you would like to see more of, I would appreciate it so I can develop them better.

Chapter 4 – The First Machina Code

"Yep, there's no doubt that this is one of the Machina Codes." Iron Man finished scanning the spherical device and handed it to Captain America.

"And this device was strong enough to block our signals?"

"Yes, that's why we couldn't detect it while we were building the vault on top of it. Hard to believe it was under our noses this entire time, literally."

The star-spangled captain turned to the heroes who had gathered to hear the news, "Well at least we can use our fractal vault for something, though it is a shame that I won't be able to install a new hot tub now."

Wolverine spoke up next "Yeah yeah, no hot tub what 'cha gonna do? Anyway I would like to point out that Tony just said that we couldn't detect any of them, so how are we gonna find 'em?"

Iron Man placed a hand on his chin and pondered about it. "Well I'm not sure how the Villains detected it, so we're going to have to come up with our own way of tracking them."

It wasn't long before Moon Knight spoke up, "Maybe we could use the one we possess to try and search for the others." Everyone turned to him, "As you can see on that screen from when Stark scanned it, these things are linked to one another with an encryption that would take years to crack, but if we build a machine that can link into the Machina Code we already have, then we can decode the co-ordinates of the others."

Iron Man seemed impressed by this idea and quickly agreed to it, "Nice idea MK, we'll go along with it. I'll contact Mr. Fantastic to give us some help but the vault is the most secure place to keep the Machina Code so the construction of the device would take place there."

Captain America turned to Ms. Marvel, "Were gonna need some S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicles to transport the Machina Code safely Ms. Marvel, we need it here ASAP and we need to move it to the vault quickly before the villains find out what we're up to."

Ms. Marvel saluted and hurried off to inform the agents as Iron Man turned to the Super Hero Squad, Spider-Man, Daredevil and Moon Knight "Alright guys, we'll have to protect the transport in case the villains do find out about this so...wait where's Deadpool?"

Daredevil shook his hand "I'm not sure you'll want to know, besides he might blow our cover knowing what he's like."

Dr. Doom was pacing around his throne room rubbing his temples "Why did I send those bozos to retrieve the Machina Code?!?! It's been hours since they left, are you sure they went to the right place Ultron?"

The tall silver mech turned around and looked down at the doctor of doom not losing his powerful demeanour, "Yes doctor, I have modified my scans to decode the Machina Code locations stolen from Dr. Hank Pym."

"Then what is taking them so long?!?!?" The doctor cried to no one in particular as he continued his aggravated pacing.

"Doctor...I'm picking up a radio contact within Superhero City. Transmitting now" Ultron's vocal processor started to emit static before the voices of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were heard.

{"So remind me why we're driving a futuristic sphere to the vault again?"}

{"It's not an ordinary sphere."}

{"I know, that's why I said 'futuristic'."}

{"That's not what I meant! It's some sort of code I think...Machina Code. I think that's what they called it. Apprantly it's supposed to be very powerful."}

{"What does it do exactly?"}

{"I don't know, Ms. Marvel wouldn't tell us."}

{"Must be pretty important then."}

{"Should be, c'mon lets deliver this thing or I'm gonna miss the re-runs of Fresh Prince!"}

Once the transmission ended Dr. Doom rubbed his hands together in anticipation, "This is brilliant, we can now regain what is ours, we must strike that convoy!"

"Doctor, I have a recommendation. Since two of the new recruits have returned, rather than deploy them again we should deploy the Sinister Six, a group known for their teamwork and coordination."

Ultron's suggestion seemed pretty plausible to Dr. Doom and he activated the speakers for the foyer of the castle "Attention, Sinister Six you lot are to report here immediately
for your first task under my rule!"

The convoy was going well so far, they were starting to exit the city as Falcon and Thor were competing against each other with a game of Mario and Sonic at the 2012 London
Olympics.

"Yeah, score one for me!" Falcon exclaimed while doing a fist pump in the air.

"Curse this electronic digital toy! These Olympian games are already confusing to play in already with a small pipe man and a porcupine faster than the god of speed!" Thor proclaimed, not very pleased with how the games rules applied.

Reptil spoke up "Hedgehog actually."

"Doesn't matter, it is still as infuriating as the time Loki dyed my favourite cloak with the colour pink!"

Ms. Marvel just shook her head in frustration at the silly argument and flew towards the front of the convoy where Spider-Man was resting on the front of the transport. He seemed to be scanning around as if he was looking for something.

"Are you alright Spidey?"

"Yeah, just keeping an eye out" Spidey tried not to mention to anyone of his Spider-Sense power, the one who knew was Daredevil because he has a similar ability with his Rader Sense.

Trying to avoid any awkward silent moment, Ms. Marvel asked "Since the villains may come after it, would you like me to join you?"

"Uh sure why not" Spidey shuffled over giving Ms. Marvel a chance to take a break from flying and sit next to him as she started to keep an eye out as well.

While looking around for any trouble Spider-Man sneaked a glance at Ms. Marvel while she looked away, he couldn't help but acknowledge to himself how pretty she looked with the sun reflecting off her golden hair. Her arms were showed her strength yet remained feminine in her nature and the side of her lips were showing part of a calm smile that made him feel warm inside.

He quickly snapped his head to the side when her head started to turn in his direction. Ms. Marvel saw him shuffle a bit and decided to make him feel more comfortable by starting a conversation, "I think you'll be pleased to know that Kingpin, Bullseye and Hobgoblin are under the watchful eyes of the police and I heard you fought Hobgoblin, is he related to the Green Goblin at all?"

"No, which is a shame 'cause they argue who the better goblin is so much you would swear that they're brothers fighting over a toy train. Hobgoblin seemed to get his equipment from the Green Goblin, but I don't know whether he stole them or bought them from him."

"I'm gonna say the latter, because if they do fight over who is better like you say, then I don't think Greenie would let Hobbie buy some of his equipment." Spidey's expression became surprised at Ms. Marvel's new names for the goblins.

"Greenie and Hobbie? Is that the best you can come up with?"

Ms. Marvel crossed her arms with a smirk on her face "I'm sure my names for them are better than yours are."

"On the contrary, my names for them are Pinky and Perky! Pinky is the Hobgoblin because he's not as smart and perky is the Green Goblin because he's more scary in a creepy smile kinda way."

The blond heroine let out a chuckle while brushing a strand of her hair back "Sounds perfect for them."

Her chuckle didn't sound forced, she might of actually found that funny. She seemed to enjoy his company a bit more now since he returned. Daredevil had said that he should get to know her better before asking her out so now seemed like a good opportunity....

Spider-Sense tingling! A sand wall suddenly burst out of the ground and built itself upon the road and caused the transport to screech to a halt. Spider-Man was flung forward but his spider powers stopped him from falling off completely and Ms. Marvel took flight as she hovered over the transport.

A giant smash sounded from the side as the Rhino stood up from where he landed while the sand wall shifted into Sandman, behind them Vulture came swooping down and dropped off shocker who landed on the ground and activated his gauntlets while Electro floated down from a strand of electricity and Vulture landed between them while Doctor Octopus stomped towards the convoy flipping armed S.H.I.E.L.D. cars over. "Greetings squaddies, surrender the Machina Code and the collateral damage shall not increase!"
